Born in:
Agana Height, Guam
Resided in:
Leesburg, VA
Lauren Alberta Beyer Stoll, known affectionately by her grandchildren as Lolo, passed away at her home on October 22, 2024, with her beloved husband, Mark Anthony Stoll, by her side.
Born on August 22 in Guam, Lauren was the daughter of Robert and Mary Beyer. From her early days, her love for animals and her sweet spirit captivated those around her. The child of a service member, Lauren resided in many cities throughout the US during her childhood. In her early adult years, she became a proud graduate of Oakton High School and a Virginia Tech alumni.
Lauren married the love of her life, Mark on September 26, 1998 creating a beautifully blended family of 6. The life they built together was filled with adventures around the world, grilling and enjoying each other’s company on the back deck, and touring wineries. Together they also shared a devotion to cheering on their beloved Hokies with unwavering enthusiasm.
As an HR business partner at Orange, Lauren led international HR with unmatched dedication and strength. Her drive for excellence was contagious and inspiring to everyone around her, including her daughters who would strive to follow her path to success.
Although her career was impressive, her true legacy lies in the warmth and laughter she brought to those around her. If you were making a visit to the Stoll household, you were guaranteed an evening of jokes, great BBQ, and good memories. Lauren was also a planner. She had a list for everything—from family trips to wine-tasting adventures, ensuring that no detail was overlooked. A true force of nature, Lauren’s motto was “Let the sun shine”, and she did just that. She believed passionately in being a light for herself and everyone around her.
Before her passing, Lauren was asked how she wanted to be remembered. She stated, “Life is not easy, nor is it fair… she handled her illness with as much grace as she could muster, and she was brave most of the time… With loving people by your side, whether work friends across the globe, family, or friends, you really are the richest person in the world. Especially if you have Mark.”
Lauren faced her battle with ovarian cancer with the same fierce determination she applied to everything in life. Her positive outlook, fighting spirit, and humor inspired all those who surrounded her, reminding us all of the importance of family.
Lauren was a loving, selfless, and beautiful mother to Anne (Billy), and stepmother to Josh, Matt (Brandon), and Alicia (Austin). She was a passionate and fun-loving grandmother to Autumn, Harvey, Luke, and soon-to-be Nora.
She is preceded in death by her stepson, Joshua. She leaves behind her father, mother, husband, children, grandchildren, sister Andrea Beyer Green (John), niece, and nephew, along with a legion of family and friends who will carry her spirit with them.
In lieu of flowers, Lauren requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/ or Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) https://foha.org/ The family asks that you raise a glass of wine in her honor—she would have appreciated that. Celebrate the extraordinary life of a woman who loved fiercely, laughed often, and truly made the best of every moment life offered her.

The world is a little less brighter without Lauren in it… having met Lauren while working at Equant (now Orange Business Systems), we became both colleagues and friends staying in contact even after I left the organization. She was so smart, kind, thoughtful, had a great sense of humor, and adored her family and the love of her life Mark. She had a wonderful life cut way too short. Rest in Peace my dear friend…
We love and miss you already.
Raising a glass to Lauren. Your memory will live on in your children and grandchildren. Please give Nora a kiss and Josh a huge hug.
Lauren and I met when Anne was very little. We worked together at Telenet/Sprint International in Reston. I was lucky to have been a bridesmaid at her wedding to Mark and she was my Maid of Honor at my wedding. She is also the Godmother to our daughter Madison who is now in her early 20’s. Lauren had such a kind spirit and was always the Hostess with the Mostess! I love and will miss her dearly! RIP my friend!
You were not only a remarkable professional but also a cherished friend, Dear Lauren!
I’ve had the privilege of knowing you for over 25 years, and will whole-heartedly remember being called ‘your Boris’ for the rest of my life; true honor.
Your legacy will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace.
We first met in 2011, Dear Laurent! Your wording to encourage me to work in OB during my hard time and now i have work here for more than 13 years! You are not only a remarkable professional, but also a mentor and cherished friend.

I met Lauren briefly at Orange Business and she immediately struck me as an exceptional person. She had the kind of warmth to her that just lights up a room. Rest in peace Lauren.
I’ll keep forever the smile, the laugh and the caring look Lauren had with all of us, who had the priviledge to work with her in a fantastic Global HR team at Orange Business Services. I had this priviledge from 2011 to 2014. Your star will shine in our sky. Rest in peace, and from where you are, keep taking good care of your beloved ones.

Lauren was a very dear colleague to me. I was lucky enough to share the same team as her in the Orange Business HR Journey Board during her last 3 professional years. Very skilled, she was deeply human and always grateful towards me, the team’s PA for my contributions.
She was caring, joyful & positive.
Then facing her illness, she struggled very bravely until the end. And she cherished everything moment of her life as long as she could.
I will miss her a lot. Rest in Peace dear Lauren 🌟

We first met back in 2010. I had been with the HR organization just a few years, and I was honestly quite nervous to meet Lauren as we were to have a 1:1 meeting in person. I’m not a naturally chatty person. Well all of that nervousness flew out the window once we started talking. Thank you for your kindness and welcoming personality. I wish peace to your family and loved ones.
In memory of Lauren, I had pleasure of working under her mentorship. More than a great leader & manager, I remember her as a kind soul, with sparking voice & energetic personality.
