Born in:
Agana Height, Guam
Resided in:
Leesburg, VA
Lauren Alberta Beyer Stoll, known affectionately by her grandchildren as Lolo, passed away at her home on October 22, 2024, with her beloved husband, Mark Anthony Stoll, by her side.
Born on August 22 in Guam, Lauren was the daughter of Robert and Mary Beyer. From her early days, her love for animals and her sweet spirit captivated those around her. The child of a service member, Lauren resided in many cities throughout the US during her childhood. In her early adult years, she became a proud graduate of Oakton High School and a Virginia Tech alumni.
Lauren married the love of her life, Mark on September 26, 1998 creating a beautifully blended family of 6. The life they built together was filled with adventures around the world, grilling and enjoying each other’s company on the back deck, and touring wineries. Together they also shared a devotion to cheering on their beloved Hokies with unwavering enthusiasm.
As an HR business partner at Orange, Lauren led international HR with unmatched dedication and strength. Her drive for excellence was contagious and inspiring to everyone around her, including her daughters who would strive to follow her path to success.
Although her career was impressive, her true legacy lies in the warmth and laughter she brought to those around her. If you were making a visit to the Stoll household, you were guaranteed an evening of jokes, great BBQ, and good memories. Lauren was also a planner. She had a list for everything—from family trips to wine-tasting adventures, ensuring that no detail was overlooked. A true force of nature, Lauren’s motto was “Let the sun shine”, and she did just that. She believed passionately in being a light for herself and everyone around her.
Before her passing, Lauren was asked how she wanted to be remembered. She stated, “Life is not easy, nor is it fair… she handled her illness with as much grace as she could muster, and she was brave most of the time… With loving people by your side, whether work friends across the globe, family, or friends, you really are the richest person in the world. Especially if you have Mark.”
Lauren faced her battle with ovarian cancer with the same fierce determination she applied to everything in life. Her positive outlook, fighting spirit, and humor inspired all those who surrounded her, reminding us all of the importance of family.
Lauren was a loving, selfless, and beautiful mother to Anne (Billy), and stepmother to Josh, Matt (Brandon), and Alicia (Austin). She was a passionate and fun-loving grandmother to Autumn, Harvey, Luke, and soon-to-be Nora.
She is preceded in death by her stepson, Joshua. She leaves behind her father, mother, husband, children, grandchildren, sister Andrea Beyer Green (John), niece, and nephew, along with a legion of family and friends who will carry her spirit with them.
In lieu of flowers, Lauren requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/ or Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) https://foha.org/ The family asks that you raise a glass of wine in her honor—she would have appreciated that. Celebrate the extraordinary life of a woman who loved fiercely, laughed often, and truly made the best of every moment life offered her.

I met Lauren through our days together as a HR team in OBS. She was our fearless leader, someone who embraces life, her work, her team with so much positive energy. I looked at our last exchange years back and remember fondly her affection for her family and the people around her. Raising my glass from afar, in Singapore – to you Lauren! Thank you.
I had the honour of working with you in OBS and will always hold you in high esteem. I learnt so much from you, leading with empathy and earning team followership wherever you go.
