BOBBI, BETTY AND I WERE SO SADDENED BY YOUR CALL OF LARRY’S PASSING AND WE SINCERELY SEND OUR DEEPEST CONDOLENCES, PRAYERS AND LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY……THOUGH GEOGRAPHY HAS SEPARATED US OVER THE YEARS WE HAVE ALWAYS COUNTED YOU AND LARRY AMONG OUR CLOSEST FRIENDS. WE ALL SHARED SO MANY GREAT MEMORIES AND TIMES TOGETHER WHEN YOU AND BETTY WERE AT MCV AND LARRY AND I WOULD TRAVEL TO RICHMOND TO PARTY, THE MOSQUE(THE TEMPTATIONS), AND, OF COURSE, THE “ANIMAL HOUSE” GRADUATION EXTRAVAGANZA PARTY AT THE HOLIDAY INN EXECUTIVE SUITE IN DOWNTOWN RICHMOND THE NIGHT BEFORE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES. WE HAVE SHARED OUR WEDDINGS, OUR CHILDREN, OUR JOYS AND SOME SORROWS WITH YOU ALONG THE WAY THAT HAS BONDED US WITH YOU GUYS. MY ONLY REGRET WAS THAT I WAS NEVER ABLE TO BEAT LARRY AT GOLF; BUT I SURE ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE ON THE GOLF COURSE WITH HIM AND A COUPLE OF COLD ONES. YOU CAN COUNT ON US TO BE THERE THIS WEEK-END TO CELEBRATE LARRY’S WONDERFUL LIFE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AS HE CROSSES THE RIVER TO PARADISE…. LOVE, TOM AND BETTY AND THE KIDS
Norma Jean, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I surely know how precious brothers are and thank God for the bonds that hold us together even if we are separated by death for a while. Hope to see you in May. God bless you

Bobbi and family, Doris and I are so saddened with your lost and wish you our deepest sympathy. Some of my fondest memories will always be our skiing adventures, chasing Larry down the slopes and enjoying the times together. I feel blessed to have known Larry and particularly to have him as a fraternity brother. The brotherhood bond and fond memories will last forever. Larry was such friendly and fun person to be around. His life is one to celebrate, and I am so grateful to have been a small part of it. Danny
During my time in the fraternity at VPI 1962-67, I really enjoyed being with Larry and Bobbie. Larry was always so much fun to be around, and never had any bad words to say about anyone. Everyone really liked him! And I will always have fond memories of him. I wish peace and happiness for Bobbie and her Family during these sad and trying times.
To Larry’s Family: I would like to offer my deeppest sympathies to your entire family for the loss of Larry. Since starting out as a young project manager at LF Jennings in the mid 80s I have always rememberd Larry’s kind demeener, generosity, and just being someone that was fun to be around. The exempelary success and reputation LF Jennings and it’s employees has acheived over the years is a direct result of Larry’s guidance and gernerocity. Larry is someone I will always remember and admire.
To the Jennings family, it is hard to believe how many years have passed since we first met your family. We know these are difficult times, and we are sending the family strength to deal with your loss. Please let us know if we can help in any way. The Bitners- Sally, Jim & Julie
To Bobbi and Family, Pam and I will be attending the wedding of one of our neices in Charlottesville on Saturday – so, we will miss the service for Larry. It’s a terrible shock, and we wish to extend our heartfelt sympathy to you, Bobbi, and to the Family. This tragic event brings back so many terrific memories of the days at “the House” in Blacksburg. Larry was always pleasant to just be around – we all had a lot of fun just being with him. His laugh was so contagious – his enthusiasm was contagious. He just enjoyed all that was going on. I can’t recall anyone ever being even a little upset with him – he was just so friendly and considerate. He would help you with anything. I remember fondly the way Larry used to “rag” on Chip and George Kelly – he enjoyed it so much! And, it was fun to watch him do it! Oh, how I would like to hear the rememberances of those of who choose to tell them on Saturday. Larry’s is a life to celebrate, and it was indeed our good fortune to have known him and for me to have him as a brother. Butch Barringer Pam Barringer
Bobbi and family: I was saddened to hear about Larry’s sudden death. While I didn’t know him well, he must have been a wonderful person to have attracted such a wonderful wife, whom I do know. I will always remember your graciousness and generosity of time as I rode those first few miles on my Hugger. Thank you Bobbi. May the many special memories of Larry and the times you had help you and your family at this difficult time.
Dear Bobbi,Larlyn,Casey,Corey&Jon, Larry will always be remembered by our family as the rock, the anchor, tried and true,a personal hero and most of all a great Friend! Dear Bobbi,Larlyn,Casey,Cory and John, Our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Larry. What a wonderful friend he was to all, we had such great times together. He will be truly missed.
Bobbi and family, I haven’t seen you in years, but I have this “vivid” (well maybe “smokey” vivid) memory of a large pasture somewhere around Vienna in the summer of 1965 somebody’s car and Wayne and Gail Garber in the back seat on their first date! The weekend event was your wedding, but that remains “smokey?” Larry was Guy Futrell’s “Big Brother” and Guy was my “Big Brother!” Thank you for Larry being a part of my DSX/TDX Tech life! I still have our old “frat” pictures and remember fondly those days that seem like “just yesterday!” God bless and keep you today and everyday and God Bless Larry Jennings, my brother. Bob Miller
I am so saddened by the news. Larry was a marvelous man! I am truly blessed to have so many memories with him from when I was younger. He will be missed by all!!
Lalyn, Jon and all your family – I would like to extend my condolsences to you all and all your family – I certainly enjoyed working for him as well as all of you – I know that it is going to be difficult for a while but remember all the good times that is what he would want you to do. If you need anything just let me know – I’ve been there so I know what you are going through. Take care of yourselves. Always, Candy Byrnes
Bobbi and Family: Words cannot express the empty feeling left with Larry’s passing. In my life, I have never known a better person. If you were lucky enough to be a friend of Larry’s, his friendship became a bond for life. He truly left his thumbprint on all he touched. There is not enough time to mention the great times we had together in the fraternity. Larry was always there for you and I shall always remember that unique, spontaneous “Larry Laugh” it was very infectous; he truly looked at life from the bright side. Of all the great features he displayed the one that stood out to me was his devotion and love for you (Bobbi)-this is so evident in his great family and life-a legacy to be proud of. May God bless and comfort you in this sad time. We were all enriched to have known this incredible man. George Flint
Dear Bobby, I was so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. Although it has been a long time since we were together, I always think of my times with you and your family with great joy. I hope all of you are well and please know that you have my greatest sympathy. With much love. Tracey(Jenkins) Zahabi
