  1. Lelon, you will be greatly missed–a true leader in our midst. I will never forget the day we visited with Mamie Eisenhower in her private quarters. You left us with many happy memories. Thank you.

  2. To Mrs. Slatterys family, Please accept my deep sympathy. I pray that you will be comforted by your happy memories of your beloved wife and mother and that you will find an inner peace knowing that God sent his most precious Son into the world to die as a human, providing the ransom sacrifice that we needed so that we might gain life through our savior Christ Jesus … 1 John 4:9. How thankful we can be that the resurrection hope is sure!

  3. Enjoyed your mother for many years in the Mamie Eisenhower Republican Women’s Club. She was a wonderful leader. Our prays are with her family. Bettie Wheeler

  4. I am so sorry for your loss. I met Lelon at the Mamie Eisenhower RWC luncheons. I liked her right away. She had a way to make new members and guests feel very comfortable and welcome. I was honored to follow in her footsteps and appreciated all of her advice when I became the club president.

  7. What a privilege to have known Lelon and worked with her! A lady always but a pioneer and a true can-do woman whose energy and enthusiasm for life and living was indeed remarkable. We will all miss her.
