Leo Francis Endler

Leo Francis Endler, 98, of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away on March 23, 2022. Leo was born on November 9, 1923 in Wilkes Barre, PA to John and Mary Endler.
After graduating high school, Leo joined the Seabees and served in the South Pacific. Upon his return he joined the DC Fire Department, Engine 29, where he worked for 24 years. After retiring, he worked as Grounds Superintendent at The Potomac School in McLean, Virginia. After his retirement in 1993, he continued to work as a handyman and spent his free time hunting, reading, and doing puzzles.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents, his 10 siblings, and his son, Gerald Stephen Endler, and daughter Christine Endler. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Anna Endler, his daughter, Cynthia Clarke (Ray), his son, Richard Endler (Danielle), 5 grandkids, 2 great-grandkids, and daughter-in-law, Jeri Endler.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolftrap Road, Vienna, VA on Friday, April 8 at 11:00am.
