Leon C. Farbes III
July 30, 1942 ~ June 12, 2019
Leon C. Farbes, III departed this earth on Wednesday June 12, 2019 surrounded by the love and support of his family. Leon was from Nashville, TN and graduated from Tennessee State University in 1964. He married Norma Ann Sims that same year. From that union, they had two daughters, Lianne & Stacey.
He started his life’s work in Hemodialysis and later started a company that developed an artificial kidney. He transitioned into marketing and program management for surgical instruments and supplies. He remained
a Marketing Professional for the majority of his career.
Later in life, he was also a Biology teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools and the GED program for at risk youth until he retired in 2005. He then started working for Costco doing membership sales and eventually going into the store as a returns/membership advisor.
He leaves behind his loving wife Norma Ann, his daughters Lianne and Stacey, two grandsons Tyler and Declan., one brother Sidney, two sisters in law Peggy and Saundra, three nephews John, Josh and Marc, two nieces Mia and Aliya, and a host of other friends and relatives.
