Lois Elizabeth Gray, 84, of Colonial Beach, who was born in McLean,

passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Mary Washington Hospital from

cancer.

Her hobbies include bingo, baking and decorating cakes, and bowling. She

belonged to the Colonial Beach Moose Lodge and was a charter member of the

Colonial Beach Eagles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Gray, and son Michael

Gray.

She is survived by her sons Dan Gray of Mineral and Donny and his wife,

Teresa Gray, of Montross; daughter Linda and her husband,

Warren Sprouse, of Colonial Beach; four grandchildren, Pam Sprouse, Brian

Sprouse, Samantha Gray and Tiffany Gray; seven great-grandchildren,

Mindy Wyman, Sean Kinzer, Elizabeth Phillips, Kamron Sprouse, Kyrstin

Sprouse, Hailey Gray and, coming soon, Max Warren ; and four

great-great-grandchildren Adyn and Bryson Douglas, Rylee

Phillips, and, coming soon, Natalie Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mary

Washington Hospital Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg,

Va. 22407, or the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad, 225 Dennison St.,

Colonial Beach, Va. 22443.

  1. Linda I’m sorry to hear about your mom, she has fought a hard battle the last several years. She is in a better place. Our prayers are with you and the entire family as you go thru the coming days. Knowing your mom I know you have lots of happy memories, call them up as you go thru this time.

  5. Linda, Pam, Brian and families, I’m so sorry for your loss. I remember meeting your mom for the first time back when Mike and I were in school together. Your mom was a lovely person and had a beautiful personality/smile. She made my wedding cake as well as a few others for me and I was always in awe of how talented she was. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
