Loretta A. Anderson

Loretta A. Anderson, 97, loving Wife, devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on August 18th, 2023 in Oakton, VA.

Loretta was born on December 18th, 1925 to George Paggen and Regina Schneider in Holdingford, MN. After High School, Loretta moved to Chicago to work. It was there that she met her husband Bill. They married and later moved back to MN and settled in St.Paul. She was a member and volunteer at Holy Spirit Church.

Loretta worked at Montgomery Wards for 25 years and retired in 1989. In 2001, she moved to Fairfax,VA to be near her daughter. She enjoyed knitting and folk art painting, giving her works to loved ones. She was known as an excellent cook and baker, She kept her great sense of humor to the end.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Willam C. Anderson, parents George and Regina Paggen and her 8 siblings;John, Raymond, Adeline, Harold, Lorraine, Dorothy, LeRoy and Gladys. She is survived by her daughter Debra and her husband Mark; grandchildren Andrew, Michael and Katie and 4 great grandchildren.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 29 at St. Mark Church, Vienna,Va. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Loretta’s great grand-daughter Lilly’s foundation at http://www.lillyandblair.org
