Louise C. Oddenino peacefully passed away at her home in Falls Church, VA on December 19, 2013. Born in 1924 in Aroda, VA to the late A.J. and Rosa Cash. Mrs. Oddenino moved to Washington, DC in 1942, where she worked as a switchboard operator for the telephone company. She was working the switchboard at the time of Franklin D. Roosevelt's death and recounted how the whole board lit up at the time. Louise was preceded in death in death by her beloved husband, Louis L. Oddenino, and daughter, Janie. Survivors include her children, Michael L., Janet S., and Judy A. (Richard Henry) Oddenino, as well as seven grandchildren and two-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA, on Thursday, December 26 from 6 to 8 pm and where a funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27 at 10 am. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation, parkinsons.org.
