On Friday, May 8, 2009, of McLean, VA at Virginia Hospital Center. Beloved wife of Joseph E. Ellinger; loving and devoted mother of Kendal E. (Frances) Carson and the late Douglas A. Carson; mother-in-law of Anne Marie Carson; sister of Ruth M. Hartman; Joyce A. Maier; Sandra L. (Kenneth) Fischer, David R. (Barbara) Yocom and Sheryn Murray. Also survived by five grandchildren, Kendal F., Krista N., Brooks C., Alexandra M. and Blake A. Carson. Relatives and friends are invited to Louise's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 West Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Tuesday, May 12 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1545 Chain Bridge Road, McLean, VA on Wednesday, May 13 at 11 a.m. Interment Fairfax Memorial Park.

I worked with Louise at the McLean Community Center when I was the volunteer coordinator there. She was so sweet and always had a great big smile on her face. She sat with me many a time to welcome people to the craft show and the antique shows. She had a warm heart and I will never forget her. My thoughts and prayers go out to Joe and their family.
Mrs. Ellinger was a loyal usher for the Alden Theatre and kept both staff and patrons in good spirits with her sweet nature and unforgettable smile. We will all miss her so much but feel lucky to have had the opportunity to bask in the warmth of that wonderful smile! Our thoughts are with Mr. Ellinger, who proved time after time what a devoted and loving partner he was to Weezie.
