For 32 years she proudly served her community as a Rural Carrier for the US Postal Service out of the Vienna, Virginia post office. After retiring from the post office, she volunteered for many years at the Pimmit Hills, VA, Library.

Mae started school at Vienna Elementary and then on to the Old Fairfax High School graduating with a high school diploma. She married her husband Kenny when he returned from World War II.

She was a loving mother to her four children and grandchildren. She was always willing to help-out in time of need. She was loved very much by her family and friends.

During her 32 years of dedicated service to the US Postal Service, Mae was heavily involved in the Rural Carrier Union for the US Postal Service. She proudly served as a state representative and then later as a secretary/treasurer. She traveled every year to the National US Postal conventions held in a different state each year. She won various awards from the US Postal Service for her dedicated service. She also was given awards from the Pimmit Hills Library for her service there as well. Mae had a tremendous work ethic which few could match; she did instill this work ethic in her four children.

Mae really enjoyed her grandchildren, family gatherings at her home, trips to beaches, her pets, all the critters in her yard, taking care of her yard and flowers, watching ice skating, watching the Washington Football team, and Washington Nationals baseball team, and listening to Neil Diamond songs.
