Manouchehr "Manou" Faily

Manouchehr “Manou” Faily passed away on September 7, 2022 at his home in McLean, Virginia. Born in Iran in 1934, Manou traveled to the United States where he attended Ohio University, graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1956. He returned to his homeland where he married Shahnaz Faily, his beloved wife of 56 years, and had two daughters, Perscilla and Roxanna. In Iran, Manou served in prominent leadership positions in both the private and public sectors and contributed to the economic development of the country.
Due to the Iranian revolution, Manou and his family moved to the United States in 1979. He was a committed and contributing member of the McLean, Virginia and broader Washington, DC community.
Manou spent the last four decades as a real estate developer, having developed residential communities in Northern Virginia and commercial enterprises in Texas. He was not only a talented developer, but also a mentor to the younger generation embarking on careers in his field.
In his later years, Manou had a passion for music and bridge. He was blessed to know his two grandchildren, Lucas and Sophia, and cherished his time with them.
