Maria Yolanda Sakata, of Alexandria, Va., died on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Devoted mother of Lilia Sakata, Alberto Sakata, Ana Stevens, Gladys Sakata-Haddox and Juan Sakata. Her husband Alberto died in February 1997. She is the second of seven children. Also survived by her sisters, Antonieta and Esther; her grandchildren, Britt, Meredith, Julla, Andrew, Albert, Michael, Lissa, Hazel and Melanie; her great-grandchildren, Lennaert, Dilan, Emily, Lewis, Sophia, Sabrina, Elena, Chloe, Molly, Lucas, Lorelei and Amir.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
