Dear Carmen, You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this extended period of profound grief and loss but also a period of celebration of a quite wonderful life. I had the pleasure of meeting Maribel many years ago in Baltimore( at a baby shower prior to Lucy’s birth). Maribel’s spirit and passion and love of family filled the room. She is one of those exceptional people who lives forever in one’s memory. Her spirit will live on through her wonderful children and grandchildren. Our deepest sympathy to you and your Dad and all of your family. David and Mynel DuBose
My thoughts and prayers are with you all, I am so sorry to hear of Maleys passing. I remember how warm and welcoming she was always with a big smile and hug for all of us. Sent with love and remembrance.
Being friends with Carmen and Eron from Philadelphia, we have had the great pleasure of spending time with Maley and Ted; at birthday parties and soccer games, through the years. They are both fantastic people, who we always looked forward to seeing. We will miss Maley’s genuine warmth, charming spunk, and fun sense of humor. It was an honor to know her. Our hearts go out to the entire Knappen Family. We know their family love runs deep and the loss is profound. With much love, Michele and Ryan
Dear Ted and Family, We just returned from two weeks in Buenaventura and it was there, on El Faro Beach, where we learned that Maley was ill. We had been thinking of you both and wondering if you still had the condo. When we heard, we sat on the beach, watched the waves, and remembered good times with you two. We will always remember Maley as a life force, full of light and love. We send our love and friendship and support.
Dearest Ted and family, How she will be missed! Maley was such a breath of happiness; she just made you smile. I feel honored to have had the chance to know her. She will be missed;but she will be remembered dearly. I send my love and condolences, Judy Davis

Malay was a very special and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. It was a privilege to have known her. I admired her generous spirit and kindness to so many in the community. May she rest in peace and God’s light.
