Marilyn A. Sullivan (8/4/36 – 8/12/24) was a devout Roman Catholic, a dedicated wife to Joseph Sullivan (4/12/36 – 4/3/22) for 58 years, and a loving mother to her 4 children: Anne Hall (Howard Hall), Michele Grese (John Grese), Janette Russell (Denis Russell) and Timothy Sullivan, a gold-medal special Olympian. She was the grandmother to 11 and great grandmother to 11. She is survived by her sister and best friend, Bernadette Goggin. She was preceeded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and brother.
Marilyn was born in Oakland, CA., graduated college from University of California, and became an elementary school teacher. She married Joe and a few years later moved to the suburbs of Chicago and then onto Rockville, MD area where she lived the rest of her life.
After her children started school, Marilyn returned to teaching.
In retirement she stayed busy delivering Meals on Wheels, attending church, traveling and spending time with her family.
Her easy laugh, loving warmth and caring heart will be missed by all who knew her.
