Marlene Weber Vigezzi
August 10, 1933 ~ December 11, 2014
On Thursday, December 11, 2014, Marlene Weber Vigezzi, beloved wife of 60 years of Francis B. Vigezzi, Vienna, VA joined her parents Genevieve and Edward Weber in Heaven.
Marlene was originally from Albany, NY, she and her husband Frank had been residents of Vienna and members of the St. Mark's Catholic Church for over 30 years. Prior to that they had lived around the United States because of Frank's work with AT&T. She loved meeting new people and making new friends. She was the proud mother of 5 children and their families. Lawrence and Nancy Vigezzi of NH, Michael and Eve Vigezzi of CT and Canada, Edward and Kathy Vigezzi of MD, John and Sally Vigezzi of IL and daughter Lisa Vigezzi Clark of NC. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Steven, Daniel, Salome', Scarlet, Stephanie, Joseph, Jaquelyn, Timothy, William, Claire, and Dianna. Marlene is survived by her only sister, Peggy Jayne (Pat) Gallagher of Anchorage, AK.
She was a member of the Mantua Merry Markers Bowling League and the Scarlet Tarts of Vienna Red Hat group. Her Red Hat title was "The Princess of Pins and Needles" given to her by her sister because she loved to sew. She was also a regular Bingo player at the Moose Lodge in Vienna. She thanks God for all these friends and her wonderful neighbors. They brought much joy in her life.
She also enjoyed reading, cooking, music and being with friends. But she always said her greatest joy and loves in life was her husband, children and grandchildren. She will miss them, but has promised to always watch over them.
A remembrance gathering will be held on Saturday December 20th 2014 from 12:30 to 1:30 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Road Vienna Virginia 22181 followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30pm
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society - Ovarian Cancer Research.

My memories of Marlene go back 60 years Larry was my best friend at Cresthaven Elm school. When the Vigezzi’s moved from Silver Spring I lost my first best friend My Mom, also named Marlene has fond memories So sorry it took so long to send our condolences
