MARY ADORINE TROUP (Age 93)
Mary Adorine Troup passed peacefully surrounded by family on October 21, 2022, at the age of 93. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Donald Troup. She is survived by her four children, Rosemary Ostroski (Dave), Greg Troup (Bambi), Brian Troup (Kim) and Tina Duffus (Joe); her ten grandchildren; Katelin Young (Nick), Paige Steinhoff (Phil), Shannon Randall (Jason), Christine Sasala (Joe), Christopher Troup, Meghan Troup, Michael Troup, Connor Duffus, Marnee Eipel (Kevin) and Dylan Duffus; and seven great grandchildren, Gavin, Aiden, Rowan, Sadie, Carter, Joey and Rhett. Born in Moline, Illinois in 1929, she was raised in Melrose, Iowa, also known as "Iowa's Little Ireland". Adorine graduated from Melrose High School and later moved to the Washington, DC area in 1949 where she worked at the State Department.
Adorine was a woman of faith, devoted wife and mom that loved unconditionally. She was passionate about her family, Irish roots, cooking, having fun and being silly with her grandkids. Her gentle, kind, dynamic demeanor and radiant smile will be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to Adorine’s visitation at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church Chapel, 8601 Wolf Trap Rd., Vienna, VA on Friday, November 4 at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow and be celebrated at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
