Mary O'Hare Eckert (age 80) of Vienna, VA and most recently Potomac Falls, VA died on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Fairfax Hospital. Beloved wife of 62 years to Capt. George Eckert, U.S. Navy (Ret.); devoted mother of George, Mark ("Scoobie"), Kathleen (Rick) Kennedy, Maggie, Christopher (Kristen) and Mary (Mike) Dyson.

Mary was a devoted Catholic and loved her family and church. Cherished grandmother of Colleen, Mary, John, Michael Kennedy, Courtney, Brian, Caroline Eckert and Max and Meagan Dyson.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Wednesday, June 4 from 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 46639 Algonkian Parkway, Potomac Falls, VA 20165 on Thursday, June 5 at 11 am. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 601 Maiden Choice Lane, Baltimore, MD 21228 or visit littlesistersofthepoorbaltimore.org.
