Mary L. Sanders Trammell

Mary, an original McLeanite and long time resident, passed away quietly in California where she was residing on October 12, 2010. She is survived by her daughter MaryJo VonPinnon, her son Rodney Trammell and his wife Ann; and by two grandchildren, Peter VonPinnon and Catherine Trammell; as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph E. Trammell, brother, C. Vernon Sanders and sister, Dorothy L. Morales. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to the charity of your choice.

My deepest sympathies to Mary’s family. My mother Margaret Cockrell attended nurses’ training with Mary and was an attendant in Mary & Joe’s wedding. Mother is in nursing home so unable to attend. I intended to visit with the family but must be out of town on 10/23. I always enjoyed speaking with Mary by phone when she would call to speak with Mom, and tried, with no success, to connect with her last time I was in San Francisco. I’m so sorry for your loss. She was a dear friend, and a relative through my father Alfred Cockrell’s family. I know she will be missed. With warmest regards, Katie Magill
