Mary Ranney Jettner, age 82, of Vienna, Va, died on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at her residence. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward Jettner. She is survived by her brother-in-law, George B. Lane, Jr., sister-in-law, Janet Becker, nephews, Lawrence R. Lane, Allan C. Lane and Greg Becker, niece, Mary C. Lawson and many cherished friends.

She was an organizer, had a cute sense of humor, and her beautiful smile made people feel welcome. I knew Mary from tennis and can’t imagine how many people have played in one of her tennis groups over the years. We have often talked about how we miss her presence around the racquet club this year. I feel blessed to have known her. I think she’s up there laughing and playing with Alice and some others now.
I knew Mary indirectly, through my mother, Dolores Holtsman. My mother was so fond of Mary, her company, her conversation and her sense of humor. She found a kindred spirit in Mary and enjoyed being in Loose Change with her very much. I send my condolences to Mary’s family.
