Michael Henry Luke

Michael H. Luke, age 77, of Vienna, Virginia died on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Fairfax Hospital. he was the husband of Joan M. Luke.
Born July 11, 1930 in Muenster, Texas, he as the son of the late Henry J. Luke and Mary Lillian Pagel Luke.
After graduating from Sacred Heart High School in Muenster, he served in the United States Air Force for four years. He continued his education at the University of New Mexico, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
In 1992 he retired from Texas Instruments, but continued to work until his death. He served with Magnavox, Hughes, Raytheon and finally as an independent consultant.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth M. Lewis and her husband Scott Lewis both of Corinth, Texas; his brother Paul J. Luke and his wife Grace Luke both of Farmers Branch, Texas; his sister, Ann Elizabeth Fiedler and her husband Jack Fiedler both of Georgetown, Texas and his grandchildren, Rachel and Grant Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael D. Luke.
The Family will receive friends at Money & King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Avenue, Vienna, Virginia on Monday, April 21 from 6-8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolftrap Road, Vienna, Virginia on Tuesday, April 22 at 10:30 A.M. The interment take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

For all of my life, he was my Uncle Mike. I cannot believe he has now gone. More simply, he has left Joan. Life seems a little emptier now without him – but he will forever remain in our hearts. Our warmest condolences. Love, Cathy and family
