Norma Jean Spoto Alcalde (age *0) of Fairfax, Va and Tampa, FL passed away peacefully in her sleep March 8, 2013 at home with her family. Norma Jean, beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her lovely, generous nature and beautiful smile greeted all she met. Norma Jean was a teacher and volunteered extensively for many charitable causes throughout her life.
She is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Spoto Castagna of Clearwater, FL and Josephine Spoto Brown of Tampa, FL; her three children, Cynthia Alcalde Colenda, Richard Alan Alcalde, and Nelson Bruce Alcalde, her son-in-law Scott Colenda, her daughter -in-law Nancy Toma Alcalde, and her five beloved grandchildren, Dnayy, Jason, Andy, Kristin, and Nico, all located in Northern Virginia. In addition, Norma Jean is survived by her brother-in-laws Judge William Castagna and Carlton Brown, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins in the Tampa, FL area. The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to Dr. Ruben Cintron, Teresa Quinn, and especially Teresa Kelly who provided care and support throughout her illness
