Patricia "Patt" Faith Ryan
September 10, 1929 ~ October 22, 2021
Patricia “Patt” Ryan passed away on October 22, 2021 at the age of 92. Patt was a lifelong resident of Vienna and spent 52 years in the town she loved. She was an active member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and worked in the floral and gift trade in Vienna and McLean. She along with her husband, Neal loved Vienna and their neighbors and friends and frequently hosted many celebrations together. Patt was an avid baseball fan. Her father was a catcher, manager, and coach spanning a 40 year baseball career including her beloved Boston Red Sox. Patt was never far from a ballpark growing up.
Patt was a gifted seamstress and was always knitting or crocheting for those she loved. Her husband, Neal preceded her in death in 1995. They were married for 45 years. Patt continued on with their love of travel. She was a member of the Vienna Shillelagh’s travel club and several other groups. She loved being Grandma and was always sending cards with loving words of praise, encouragement, and cartoons.
Patt is survived and will be forever missed by her children Stephen (Molly), Susan, Kevin, Karen (Ken) and grandchildren, Charlie, Adam, Emily, Kelly, and Morgan. She was also blessed with her great grandchildren, Alexa and Baby Michael.
Visitation will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Thursday, October 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 29 at 10:30 a.m. Private family interment at Fairfax Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Lewy Body Dementia Association or American Lung Association.
