Born in: Richmond, Virginia
Resided in: Oakton, Virginia

Patricia Walthall Puskas, cherished for her lively spirit and warmth, passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 5, 2024. Never meeting a stranger, she was known for extending compassion and generosity to so many fortunate enough to receive her kindness.

Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Thomas Puskas, who celebrated their 39th anniversary last month, their son Dustin Sclater, his wife Michelle Sclater, their son Dennis Sclater, their daughter Tammie Hilend, her husband Michael Hilend, and her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is joined in rest by mother Lillie Bell Thomas, brother Thomas Walthall, and daughter Jannon Rogers.

Patricia was a remarkable woman who excelled in many areas. She was a devoted wife, committed mother, a successful catering manager in the hospitality industry, and she brought joy and service to the Catholic church for many years. Despite the challenges brought to her early in life, she overcame, embracing gratitude, lifting others, showering all those she cared for with love and encouragement. Patricia’s love for her community, gardening and nature is a legacy that lives on through her children and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Patricia will take place on January 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Vienna, Virginia. Those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate life are welcomed. In lieu of flowers, donations to Capital Caring Hospice are appreciated.
