Patrick Joseph Fallon

Patrick Joseph Fallonm Jr., of McLean, Virginia passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016. He was 83 years old.
Patrick was born on March 23, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated from Carrick High School in 1950. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Patrick and Antoinette Riskus Fallon, and his cherished sister, Eileen Fallon Tomasits.
Pat was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Air Force for 8 years as a Staff Sergeant. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After leaving the service, pat worked at Tysons Sheet Metal Company and became a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Union Local 12.
In 1967, Pat began his career at Marriott Corporation in Bethesda, Maryland. During the summer of 1972, the family relocated to Virginia where they currently reside.
He retired from the position of Vice President in Architecture and Construction at Marriott after 25 years. During his tenure at Marriott, he was one of the first recipients of the JW Marriott Award of Excellence and Distinguished Merit.
Pat enjoyed traveling, fine dining, the beach and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol Balena Fallon, and Daughters, Diane Fallon Atwell of McLean, Va, Patricia Fallon Koogler and son-in-law, Charles Kevin Koogler of Staunton, Va. Also surviving are his grandsons, Patrick William Atwell of McLean, Thomas William Koogler and Jonathan Patrick Koogler of Staunton, and his sister, Peg Fallon Schorr of Ross Township, PA. Pat will be profoundly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and St. Luke Vatholic Church in McLean, Va.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, Va. A reception, to celebrate his life, will follow at 3:00 PM at the Tysons Corner Marriott, 8028 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, Va.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following charities: McLean Volunteer Fire Department, www.mcleanvfd.org or the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
