I began as a probation officer in 1975, and Paul was my supervisor. I always think fondly of the years we worked together. Over the years I have had contact with him. Paul was a good guy, and a good supervisor. I will miss him

Bob and I send our sincere condolences on the passing of your father.
I had the privilege of following in Paul’s footsteps after he retired from the Waukesha probation office. He made my transition very smooth and I am grateful for all he did leading up to my taking over the reins. He was a gentle man in a very challenging profession. I also had the pleasure of his “interpreting” at Old World; he did a marvelous job. My condolences to the family. Karl Held
My condolences to the Maenner family. I had the pleasure of working with Paul at the Waukesha probation office until he retired and saw him frequently post retirement, once forging horseshoes at Old World Wisconsin. He was an asset to our office and the community as a whole and will be missed.
Dear Pat and family, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Paul. It’s been 40 years since my start at Corrections, and I can still hear his laugh at the antics that happened. You helped make me feel welcome when I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. It is good to see the children have all done well, and that you and Paul were able to enjoy a grandchild. My best to you, and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dear Pat and Family, Sorry to hear the loss of Paul…we were asking a lot of people about the whereabouts of you both at the Old Engine Club and Old World, and no one seemed to know…we wish you could have sent us your address in VA…would appreciate hearing from you again…and again, we offer our sincere sympathy to you… May Paul rest in peace… Bill and Joyce Weber and Family
