Proserpina (Prosty) O’Leary, 62, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023. Daughter of the late Abdon and Flora Araquel; Daughter-in-Law of the late Robert L O’Leary; Sister-in-Law of the late Mary and Jeff Marders. She is survived by her husband, Robert L O’Leary; her children, James and Mia; her sisters, Minerva, Elna, Lea, Eden, Ellen, brother, Zeus and their spouses; Mother-in-Law, Barbara; Sister-in-Law, Patricia and her husband. She is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave, Vienna, VA on Thursday, August 31 from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Prayers will start at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Prosty’s memory to American Heart Association PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692.

    I got to know Prosty in 2004 when I started at NRECA. I will miss her cheerful, kind spirit and wonderful stories of her large family, travels and hearing about her children growing up.

    We meet at NRECA and became friends right away. Prosty was always positive , fun and so nice to be around. No words can express the heartbreak. I will miss you so much. May you soul rest in peace my dearest friend. You will be loved and missed forever.

  13. So sorry for your family’s loss. I worked with Prosty at NRECA and she was always not only great to work with but a delightful person.

She always supported our boys when they came selling pies for the Chorus Departments of Thoreau MS and Madison HS. I only just heard about her passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
