Dearest Ray, your departure will leave a big hole in our lives, you were loved and will be greatly missed!
Ray was a colleague for many years in the Pentagon. He was an expert in Defense Contract Audit laws and regulations, and he made many recommendations over the years to add to DOD’s operating procedures. In addition he was a fine man whose company I enjoyed . He was a kind and caring person who was well-liked by all who knew him.
Joseph T. Kammerer, formerly Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense
Mr. Schmidt was one of the gentlemen I delivered to for Meals on Wheels. He was always so kind and gracious, and clearly adored his family. I wish his family peace and comfort.
A candle was lit for the decedent.
Missing my long-time friend and neighbor, his smile, his kindness, and his WWII stories and love for his family. There will never be another hero like Ray, RIP!

Thank you for sharing stories of my grandfather, your cousin, John O’Donnell. I feel blessed that we connected the branches of our family tree. Rest in Peace in the heaven of our God. Much love always, Nancy
