Reyna Schram (née Castillo), age 79, of Lorton, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3 at approximately 3:00pm in the afternoon at her residence surrounded by the love and care of her beloved husband.

Reyna is survived by her husband John E. Schram after 47 years of marriage, her son Richard Schram, her grandson Austin Schram; her sisters Hugolina Leon (Carlos dec.) of Peru; Violet Hohman (James) of Arlington, Virginia; Clara Castillo (Mario Rivera) of Peru; and Amanda Cottle of Arlington, Virginia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Reyna was born in Peru where she grew up and spent part of her early life. She studied English and worked in Lima for awhile until her father sent her to the United States to go to school.

Reyna moved to the U.S. and lived in Arlington, Virginia in the early 70s where she established residence until she married her husband John in 1975. Reyna and John moved to Villa Park, Illinois in 1976, where John ended 8 years of duty with the US Army and enrolled in the University of Illinois in Jan 1977. Reyna gave birth to their son Richard in 1978. John completed school in 1979 and in January 1980, John, Reyna and Ricky relocated back to Virginia where they lived until her passing.

Reyna worked at the International Development Bank (IDB) for 23 years; and afterwards she worked for the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC as a contractor for 3 more years.

Reyna was a loving, kind, generous outgoing person and a true servant of the Lord. She loved to entertain friends in her home in Lorton Virginia and was devoted to the love of her life—her husband, her son and grandson. She welcomed all with love and open arms at her house always. She touched so many lives as she never hesitated to help anyone who crossed her path or reached out to her.
