Richard Barth of Gainesville, VA, formerly of Vienna, VA, died on Friday, December 27, 2013 at his home. Loving husband of 55 years to Jane Barth; devoted father of Anne McMahon and Laura Atkins (Randy); brother of Janice Barth and cherished grandfather of Ricky and Sharon McMahon and Rachel and Matthew Atkins.
Richard retired from USAID after serving his country for over 30 years in nations throughout Southeast Asia and Latin America. He also was a Korean War veteran and member of the American Legion Post #68, U.S. State Department, Washington, DC. Contributions may be made to the Institute for Cancer Research.
