Rich was a good friend who will be missed by all his friends.
Miss you already! Happy that our paths crossed in life – FBIHQ and on the “Hill” – You fulfilled every definition of the word “charactor.” And darn, we never made that fishing trip.
Rich and I became friends while working on the S&I Staff. He was and always will be a special person and friend of mine. He was always fun to be around and to talk to. I already miss him and hope we will meet on the other side.
Rich came to Cub Run RECenter a couple years ago to volunteer for us. Everyone who met him at the RECenter thought so much of him. His sense of humor was always right on target in every way. His thoughtfulness and caring for others is what I’ll always remember about him. The “lunch bunch” will always keep you in their thoughts and prayers. We will see you again on the other side where there is no pain or suffering…….
Rich was a good friend who I will miss. We worked many years together both at the FBI and on the Hill. He was always a pleasure to be with either sharing a laugh or making a case. I will miss him but we will see each other in the hereafter.
So sorry to hear of Rich’s passing. He was a terrific guy and will be missed by many. His love of the fun in life will not be forgotten by those of us who were lucky enough to have known him. May he rest in peace. Rich and his family are in our prayers.
Rich was my supervior in Albany, and I one of his relief supers. Sandra was a support employee in Utica RA. Will both miss him and remember the many times we shared together, both at work and socially. Our hearts go out to his wife and family.
Rich was my first Supervisor when I, as a newly minted Agent, reported to my first office, the Utica RA out of Albany Division. He was very patient with me and I will always be indebted to him for what he taught me about being a Special Agent in the FBI. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May God Bless you all.
Barbara and family of Rich, I met Rich while on several assignments at FBIHQ and we we’ve maintained contact over the last 20 plus years. He always was a very caring and loyal FBI Agent. I shared many stories about life, family and the FBI with Rich. While I knew this was coming, it still hurts but awakens fond memories and thoughts of him. His pains of life are gone and he is now in the embrace of the Lord. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. May the perpetual light shine upon him! Semper Fi Tony Riggio
Although I knew Rich when we were both assigned as Agents at FBI Headquarters, we became friends when we both found ourselves at the US Department of Agriculture’s IG’s Office. It was there that we traded Marine Corps and FBI stories and where Rich’s wicked sense of humor became a daly staple for us at the office. He will be missed by all the people he touched thoughout his life. Semper Fi Rich.
Rich was both a friend and colleague. We worked some tricky cases together and had each others’ back. He will be missed but not forgotten. God Bless you Rich.
Rich and I were Supervisors in the Albany Div. I will always remember his great sense of humor. He was always able to put issues in there proper perspective. He was very supportive when you needed his help. I have not seen Rich for years—but will always remember him. Les Amann
Thank God I was fortunate to have talked to Rich a couple weeks ago. A blessing for me. From all the notes I have read from workmates and friends, I can say that Rich was the same person as a kid growing up. We had many really good times during high school years. Rich and I roomed together in Chicago when we went for our USMC physicals and were on a third or forth floor room overlooking State street and Rich wanted to have some innocent fun. He dumped a pitcher of water on a sailor standing on the walk. Funny to us at the time. Then when I got out of the USMC and was home in Mich. I was speeding on Main street when the siren and light came on. Out stepped the cop, as did I, and the officer nearly dropped on the spot. It was Rich and no I didn’t get cited. Hadn’t seen him in 20 yrs. and miss him as all of you do. If the world were full of Richard Ramsbys we would have a wonderful place to live. Thank you Rich for having been a lasting friend and memory in my life.
Rich and I were in the Albany Division together. He was an excellent agent and a better person. One of those people when you hear their name, it brings a smile to your face. Rest in peace.
Barb, Shelley, Deanne, Kari & Jennifer (& families), Rich was such a special person. I think the first thing that comes to mind when I think of him was his sense of humor. While I was Rich’s secretary in the Albany FBI Office, I can honestly tell you that it was the BEST time in my 18-year Bureau career. When I look back on those days, I always remember laughter being a big part of the days, and it was because of Rich! When the “Bureau life” took Mark and I to Dallas, we always kept in touch, but it wasn’t until both of our families were in Virginia, that we became closer friends. Over the course of the years, we have socialized together, whether it be for pizza or at Rich’s house with Barb’s wonderful cooking and always had a grand time. All of the wonderful memories that we have of Rich will forever be etched in our lives. We will hold those memories close to our hearts. He will be greatly missed.
I met Rich at FBIHQ in 1977/1978. It was the best of times and yet it was the worst of times. Rich’s humor made us all forget and enjoy. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Rest in peace, Marine. Already miss you!! You are an individual that Mary Lynn and I were proud to call “friend.” Your honor, loyalty and positive outlook on life, even in those last painful days, will serve as an inspiration to all that knew you. Our prayers are with you, Barbara and the kids.
I had the Privilege to work with Richard at Cub Run Recreation Center. I used to work the early morning shifts and when I saw that he was on the schedule to come in and work with me, I would get in high spirits to know he was coming. He was always someone I can always count on to make me laugh and to hold an interesting conversation with. With each conversation I got to know a little more about him and his life stories and they never failed to intrigue me. So rest in peace Rich, you will be missed.
Rich and I became friends while working on the S&I Staff “Hill.” He was always fun to be around. His knowledge and humorous character made him one of the greats! Rich will be ever lasting in my memories and I will miss him. God Bless your family and our our love from my family to yours!! Vicky
We have thoroughly enjoyed being Rich’s (and Barbara’s) neighbor over the last 9 years. Rich was always fun to talk to and I enjoyed seeing him pass the house on his bike. Always fussing with that yard and sharing stories of the next project. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we are just around the corner if you need anything. Rich, rest in peace. The Torpeys (Paul and Paulette)
Rich and I had many fun moments working and traveling for the HAC/S&I. He was a very fine person and will be greatly missed. My condolences to Barbara and family.
We will always remember the times we shared together as neighbors in Centreville, Virginia.
I knew Rich for 29 years and we went through a lot of good times and a few tough times. No one was ever more loyal or willing to help his friends than Rich. I am a lot better for having known him and I will miss him.
Rich was my oldest friend, over 60 years. He was a very loyal and special person, to his family and his friends. I hope we get another chance at this thing called life. I will see you again my Marine brother! WE WILL RIDE AGAIN Dick Mack
I will always remember Rich as such a fun-loving guy and a dedicated friend. So sorry to hear of his passing. My sincerest condolences to Barb and his family.
Out of our hands, into God’s arms. God Bless you Rich.
