Robert "Bob" Bearinger of Clifton, VA died on September 14, 2014 at his home with his wife and son by his side. He was the loving husband of 57 years to Alice Hicks Bearinger and devoted father of Julie (Mark) Bogart and Robert Bearinger, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Kylene, Christopher, Nicholas and Darren. He is predeceased by his parents, James Frank and Anna Loudell Bearinger, infant son David and brother Kenneth. Bob was born in Hagerstown, MD, and grew up in Orlando FL. 1958 he received a B.S. in Bus. Adm. from Stetson University and a J.D. in Law from Stetson College of Law. 1958-1960 he served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a State Farm Insurance Adjuster, a Contract Administrator for Atlantic Research Corp and served Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) for 22 years in Contract Administration, Construction and Design, as Chief of Staff and as Director of Procurement.
A Funeral Service will be held at Clifton Presbyterian Church, 12748 Richards Lane, Clifton, VA 20124 on Monday, September 22 at 2:30 P.M. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association.
