Many happy memories for us to record in our hearts. Bill Howe
We will miss the many shared conversations we had with Bob during our neighborhood Supper Club gatherings. He was always upbeat and interesting with lots of fascinating stories to share. Our thoughts are with Lou and the family during this difficult time.
You will be missed, but not forgotten. This poem say’s it all. God saw that you were gettin tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered,”Come to me.” with tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest. God broke our Hearts to Prove to us He only takes the best.
I served with then Col Lunn 40 years ago in Kaiserslautern Germany. He was a great leader, mentor and friend.
Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Many fond memories of General Lunn laughing with Col. Downey.
A great Soldier, leader and patriot who was held in the highest esteem by all ranks. A role model for all to follow.
Remembering the Joy and Excitement that rang through the Sabatini house whenever the Lunn’s came to town. Wishing you peace, love and contentment as you carry Bob in that special place in your heart as you walk in this world for him. May a smile come to your face when you remember all that you shared as you celebrate his life. With you in spirit.
My deepest sympathy to your family. I attended Kaiserlautern American HS with Robert, 1971 to 1973, and then Burges HS, graduating in 1975. I too lost my father and know the pain and suffering of loosing one so dear. He was my hero. I pray that time will help and that you and family know that there are many people out there that remember and care about you. Again my sincere sympathy at this time in your life. God Bless and keep you safe in his loving arms. Christel Dean Fisher
My deepest sympathy to the Lunn family.. Try to hang tuff Bob.. Lost my father two years ago but seems like yesterday.. He’s now with his troops at Arlington.. Keith Mahan
Dear Bob, I know that you are in heaven looking down on all of us. I pray for Lou that she will be able to cary on and the coming years without your presence……61 years of marriage is a longtime. May your soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Fr. Wayne
