Colonel Robert L. Holladay, Jr., age 88, died on April 3, 2011 at his home in Great Falls, Virginia. He was preceded in his death by his wife, Marjorie Stewart Holladay.

Born September 4, 1922 in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late Leonard Holladay and Vera Robinson Holladay.

Colonel Holladay's distinguished career spanned 32 years. His assignments included, Commander of the 911 Refueling Squadron at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC, Air Force Commander on Taipei, Taiwan, and Wing Commander at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, TX.

  1. My condolences to his family. I just want to share a comforting message about God’s promise that in the near future we will see our dead loved ones again. The book of John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29 says: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement.” God promised that the whole earth will be made into a paradise and the dead will have an opportunity to live forever in peaceful and happy conditions.
