Robert V. Hren
January 22, 1932 ~ October 5, 2011
Robert Vincent Hren Sr, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, passed away on
Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Arlington, VA. Bob was born on January
22, 1932 to Mary Mehle and Louis Hren in Oak Park, IL. He married
Joyce Elizabeth Yarnall on December 26, 1953. Bob and
Joy are members of the Naperville Congregational Church, Naperville, IL.
Bob is also survived by his son, Robert Hren Jr (Pam) of Downers Grove,
IL and his daugher, Michelle (Jason) Zenk of McLean VA. He has three
grandchildren: Michael Hren of Rockford, IL, and Kalila Zenk
and Zavyor Zenk of McLean VA.
Bob served with honor on the USS Hancock aircraft carrier during the
Korean conflict. Following his military service, Bob worked at several
different businesses in the Chicago area.
Bob was a "die-hard" Chicago Cubs, Univeristy of IL, and Navy
fan. Except when cheering for his favorite teams, Bob was a man of
mild demeanor, even when faced with difficult decisions. He will be
remembered for his love of his family.
