Robert Victor Tedd

Robert V. Tedd, age 90, of Great Falls, Virginia died on Saturday, March 31, 2007. Pioneer in the automotive industry and longtime Washington automobile dealer. Bob Tedd 'The Captain from Datsun' began his love for cars in San Diego, CA in the late 1930s and migrated east to eventually own Valley Nash in Towson, MD. From Towson, he came to Washington, DC and began Bob Tedd Motors on Fairfax Circle, initially representing American Motors. In 1969, he became one of the first Japanese car dealers in the United States representing Datsun.
He is survived by his wife of almost fifty years, Barbara, and their five children, Lori, Roger, Leslie, Michael and Alison, as well as three grandchildren, Andrew, Nicolas and Billie. He also leaves behind a large extended family which includes his five siblings. He loved cars, he loved people and he loved life.
Memorial services will be held at Money & King Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 4th at 11:00 A.M. A reception will immediately follow the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
