Roosevelt "Rosy" Turner, Jr.

Roosevelt “Rosy” Turner, Jr. (Age 87) passed away on November 20, 2018, in Gainesville, VA. Formerly of Vienna, VA, Rosy is the beloved husband of 62 years to Patricia Turner; loving father to Steve Turner (Laura), Julie Turner, Ellen Padon (Chris); adoring grandfather to Stephanie and Nick Turner, Noah and Halle Padon. He is also survived by sister Virginia Sebastian of Fort Thomas, KY; sister-in-law Jackie Inman (Harold); bother-in-law Dennis Quigley (Helen Anne); numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his son John Turner in 2017.
Rosy was a veteran of the U.S. Army and spent his career with the CIA. He was an honest, humble and hard-working man who always put his family first. Rosy was a diehard Redskins, Reds and KY Wildcats fan and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, at Noon, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Road, Vienna, VA 22181. Inurnment in the church memorial garden and reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rosy’s name to Capital Caring, 24419 Mill Stream Drive, Aldie, VA 20105.
