Russell Thomas Sarcinelli, 86, resident of Avalon House in McLean, Virginia, and long-time resident of Endicott, New York, died December 11, 2008. His beloved wife of 61 years, Rose, predeceased him on November 23, 2008. Russell is survived by his daughters, Ann Marie Frederick (Roy) of Vienna, Virginia, Annette Sarcinelli of Jessup, Maryland, and Nancy Wolf of Woodbridge, Virginia. He is also survived by their grandson, William F. Dillon, III, now serving in the US Marine Corp.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank and Antonetta (Caforio) Sarcinelli. He was preceded in death by brothers Christopher, Nicholas, Frank, and sister Angie Wally. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A veteran of World War II serving in the US Army, Russell was stationed at the 53rd General Hospital in England. He was a life long member of the American Legion Post 1700. Over his career, he worked at the Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory, managed Lupo's Char-Pit, and retired in 1987 from IBM. For over 60 years, Russell was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Endiott.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Ste. 500, Falls Church, VA 22042.
