  2. Thank you for guiding me to the house of the Lord Sally. Forever I am grateful to you. You will remain in my heart and prayers.

    Anna Phan

  3. I remember her bright smile and enthusiasm for teaching children Religion from when our oldest children were in Religious Education at Our Lady of Hope in the early 2000s. Rest in Peace, Sally.

  4. Dear Phil and family, my heart goes out to you. Sally was a special lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  5. Sally opened her house and cooked the most delicious Italian meals for my family more times than I can count. I clearly remember adults in the dining room and kids everywhere else! Sally also was a beautician. She had a salon in the basement and cut my hair and gave my grandmother perms thoughout my childhood. A profession I eventually chased! She taught me it is not just about how you make people look but how they feel that matters. I asked Sally to be my confirmation sponsor and she accepted. I went on to Agape and spend years with her planning the next retreat or event. Fast forward, I had a son at a young age and she was one of the first to take me to lunch (gift in hand) and show up for me as a young mother. We stayed in touch the over the years. She was a gem and will be deeply missed.

  6. Sally and Phil were so wonderful leading the Agape Teens at St John Neumann. Sally was so kind to my daughter, Katie. May the Good Lord welcome her in His arms. Sending prayers and a hug to Phil and their children.

  7. I am just finding out about Sally’s passing now and will miss her. Sally was always an inspiration to me. Both she and Phil shared their faith in such a loving way. I had the honor of working with them in the RCIA program and am so grateful for having known her! May God Bless Her and her entire family.

  8. To Phil Girardi and family: continued prayers are being said daily for the repose of the soul of dear Sally. Prayers of thanksgiving for the heartfelt expressions of memories from Phil at the funeral Mass.

Fond memories of the first picnic held by Our Lady of Hope Parish at Claude Moore Park in Sterling. Was wonderful to visit with you and Sally there, along with other members of your dear family.

Love and prayers of peace 🕊️ be with you always,

    Mary and Mike Meli
