Charities
The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Sharon Lynn Etter 's name.
Sharon and I attended JEB Stuart high school together and we reconnected within the past couple of years and would go to lunch every so often and reminisce about our teenage years. She always had such wonderful school spirit and was warm, caring, and a very nice person. I will miss her.
Sharon and I grew up together on White Street. In our younger years, we spent many a day together listening to records in her rec room, walking to 7 Corners or Culmore to buy the latest 16 Magazines, and getting into a little trouble together more than once! We were both alumni of J.E.B. Stuart High School and she always looked forward to attending the class reunions. Although we went our separate ways during our career years, we got back in touch in the early 2000’s and remained close friends until her passing. We spent some great times in Falls Church – at Dogfish Head, Red Lobster for a slushy drink, Dogwood Tavern, and Ireland\’s Four Provinces, and we also enjoyed just hanging together (especially during COVID). We saw eye to eye on almost every subject – including politics, excluding the Washington Red-Commanders. I miss my friend so much and I wish we could have one more slushy drink together.
I miss you Sharon. You were remarkable and brave.
Sharon you will be missed ::( you were always there for me when I needed a friend to talk with.
I hope you heard my prayers as I spent time at one of your favorite places. We are so happy we were able to bring you peace with your puppies, Max and Lily. Rest in peace knowing they will be ok.

I was Sharon’s caregiver and friend for a short while – she was the sweetest lady with a warm smile, kind heart, and infectious laugh – she loves her dog, Max, with all of her heart and always spoiled him to pieces
Sharon and I worked at Virginia Hospital Center for many years in the acute care setting. We would go out to dinner occasionally, and have good talks about family, work, and her dogs 😊. We often went over the scenario of what we would do if we won the lottery. After taking care of family and friends, Sharon’s dream was to open a nice nursing home that allowed pets. She cared a lot about older people and animals. She talked about her love for her family. She loved the water, going to the beach with her friends and sister, Peggy. She enjoyed the farm and fishing at the lake. She was a very caring individual who will greatly be missed. May you rest in peace my friend.
