Stephen David Oltmann

Passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at his home in Fairfax, Va., two days before his 76th birthday. Loving husband of Maggie Louise Rigney; father of Laura Jewell; grandfather of Crystal, Jamie, Taylor and Mark; step-father of Stuart Rigney and step-grandfather of Shannon Carillo and Brett Rigney. Steve received a BA degree from the Michigan State University and MA from Kent State University. He was on active duty in the US Navy from 1960 - 1964. While working as a research cartographer, Steve served in the Navy Reserves and retired at the rank of Commander. A Memorial Service and Celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Church of the Good Shepherd, 2351 Hunter Mill Road, Vienna, Va 22181. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Steve's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1120 G St., NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20005.
