Toni Anne Dvoranchik

Toni A Dvoranchik

Her children presented her with a license plate that stated 'NUM1MOM'. Toni's legacy is that of a devoted mother of three and grandmother of nine. Her three children William, Stephen, Carrie - have been raised to be responsible individuals, even though that was a challenge at times. She was pleasantly surprised that she was able to marry off all 3 kids to devoted spouses Jen, Monica, and Andrew, respectively. Her nine grandchildren Liam, Walker, Payton, Joshua, Lucas, Noah, Grace, Hannah, and Adelaide are her special people that can do no wrong and, while at her house, have an addiction to sweets and other bad things for the body.

Toni was born on January 29, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Maxine and Tom Bower who survive her today. She is the second of four children. Tommi the eldest daughter, Danni the youngest daughter, and finally a boy named Virgil. Tom Bower joined the marines for World War II and served in the military for 26 years. Maxine and the children were a typical military family relocating to many places from Germany to El Paso. While in Texas, Toni attended an all-girls catholic high school (Loretto Academy) and then went on to get her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona in 1970.

What made Toni so special is her love for family and focus on others rather than herself. She would giggle and laugh a lot in conversations and on the phone and was even more jocular in person. Her quick witted mind, great personality and beauty captured the attention of her surviving husband Bill Dvoranchik and their marriage lasted over 42 years.

Toni was also a warrior. In 2002, Toni was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and a year later with Breast Cancer. The doctors gave her 5 years to live but her positive spirit and predisposition toward happiness allowed her to survive for an amazing 12 years. She never gave up - never, never, never. Never once did Toni's spirit and love of life change and she lived every day to the fullest - proven by her recent sky diving, zip lining and mud trekking adventures as well as the complete dedication to sharing as many memories as she could with her beloved family. She is survived by a large extended family and numerous friends.
