  1. I met Jean 3 years ago when I was a new member of the Jefferson Women’s Golf League. We played many early morning games together. Jean was always very kind and helpful. I will miss her warm smile and great sense of humor. She was a good golfer!

  2. Dear Family, What a wonderful woman, your mother! It was my pleasure to play my first ever round of golf with Jean nearly six years ago to the day! I’ll never forget it and am eternally grateful for her patience that morning. What with my three/four strokes to her one. She never rushed me and was a joy to observe. What a swing! So smooth and graceful. Such consistency in play. But it was more than that, she played golf for the sake of the game; not the score, not the competition, but for the fun of it! That’s what always made playing with your mom so enjoyable. Thank You! for a lovely woman who will be sorely missed. Sincerely,

  3. Dear Family, I had the pleasure to play my first ever round of golf with your mother six years ago. She inspired me that day! Fantastic mechanics and consistency just beautiful to watch. So patient with my three/four shots to her one. There was no doubt that she played golf for the love of the game not the competition or the score. I knew I lucked out when I ended up in her foursome that morning. She will be sorely missed. Sincerely, jean browne

  4. Dear Family, It was my great honor to have known your mother for almost 30 years. We met for bridge, took walks together, and, later, bowled in the same league. She was always kind and understading — literally, a true friend. I remember her great talent in art, and am proud to have one of her paintings. I was so glad that I was able to visit with her last month. She will be sorely missed.

  5. So sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. We were co-workers at EOSAT. We also became good friends. My sympathy to her family. She will be missed. Joan A. Friedel Glenn Dale, MD

  6. Dear Bill and Family: We were sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family.

  7. The Oak Marr Womens Golf League was forunate to have Jean as a member. It was a pleasure to be in her foursome. Always gracious and friendly. She was also a excellent golfer, as evidenced by her tournament win. An elegant, lovely lady in golf and in life. Peg O’Brien
