Verle W. Fischer, age 84, of Springfield, Virginia died on November 19, 2007 at his home. Loving husband of the late Bettie M. Fischer. Devoted father of Paul and wife Suzanne Fischer, Randy Fischer and fiancee Patti Winchester, Cindy Purinton and Kimberly McIntyre. Brother of Leona Kock and Donald Fischer.
Six grandchildren John, Ryan, Denise, Jennifer, David and Christopher. Four great-grandchilden Makayla, NIcholas, Kaylie and Lillian.

He enjoyed going to movies here at Greenspring. I sat with him on the bus several times while going to the movie and we enjoyed talking to each other and about Iowa since Larry and I were also from Iowa. I had attended a couple pain classes and he attended too. Larry attended the Memories classes and Verle also enjoyed attending them. He enjoyed listening to the stories of others but did not want to write any of his own even though he was encouraged to do so. Verle was a very private person. We did see him come down to dinner all the time. He was such a nice guy and we will miss him so very much. Please know that your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers. Marge Nichols
