Vincent H. De Vito, 89, of Vienna, Virginia passed away peacefully on November 8, 2021. Born on February 24, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, the son if Italian immigrants Joseph and Theresa De Vito. Vincent was the oldest brother to Frank, Joseph, and Rosemary. He was Uncle Vinny to his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his beloved wife Lucille (Bartolomeo) De Vito of 66 years and his four children, Theresa Nash(Michael), Joseph De Vito (Linda), Alison Chapman, and Vincent De Vito, Jr(Andrea), his seven grandchildren, Nicholas (Catherine), Michael V., Michael W., Vincent H.,III (Kristen), Alexis, Joseph (Amber), Andrew and his great grandchild Isabella.

Vincent graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy in 1955 and commissioned as a pilot by the US Navy that same year. He proudly served his country for twenty years. During his time in active service he received the National Defense Services Medal, Three Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals (Korea, Vietnam and Lebanon), and the Joint Services Commendation Medal. After retiring from active duty, Vincent was an Operations Intelligence Officer for the Department of the Navy for twenty years. Vincent also enjoyed the many years he worked as high school football official for the state of Virginia.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Mark Catholic Church located at 9970 Vale Road, Vienna, Virginia, 22181, at 11:00 am. Donations may be made to the American Diabeties Association .
