POETZSCH, Virginia (Sis) Carper of Chesterfield, Va, passed away at St. Francis Hospital. Growing up in Baltimore, she graduated from both the Johns Hopkins University and the Maryland Institute of Art. As an artist, she illustrated a cookbook of Maryland recipes and transparencies for the Medical Department of Johns Hopkins. She was a loving mother and wife. She was preceded in death by her husband James L. Poetzsch and is survived by her son, James T. Poetzsch; her daughter, Sara Rudd; and 6 grandchildren. The family invites you to a viewing at Money & King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Avenue Vienna, Virginia 22180 (phone 703-938-7440) beginning at Noon on Thursday, August 14, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. followed by a procession to the Manassas City Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of your choice
