Virginia Lee Vernon, of Vienna, VA., passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, August 12, 2012. Loving wife of the late John Henry Vernon; devoted mother of Richard L. (Paula S.), Glen (Mary), Judy (Mark) Shaughnessy, Mary Osborne and the late John and Mike Vernon. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Virginia loved spending time with her family, was an avid pet lover and enjoyed socializing with her friends.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church.

Dear Mary and Judy, Your Mom was a tough as nails woman but she also had her soft side. Too many memories to list, but will always be remembered. One of my favorite neighbors. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Don Payne & the TN Gang.
