Virginia Chittenden (nee Markle) (age 88) died peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at her home in Vienna, Virginia. Beloved wife of Thomas R. Chittenden; loving mother of Betsy (Daniel) Chittenden Sponn, Wendy (Matthew) Bley, Thomas F. (Tracy) Chittenden & step-mother of Geoff Chittenden & David (Jane) Chittenden. Also survived by eleven grandchildren & several nieces & nephews.
