Guestbook

  1. To Skip. For all the things you did for me. For all the fun I had with you. And for all your good Ideas. I thank you. You will be missed. Rest in peace. Your friend. Carl Thomas

  2. To Mrs. Pirkey, Stephen and all family and friends: I was greatly saddened to learn of the recent passing of Skip(py). I offer my deepest sympathies to you all. I grew up knowing him, as he and my brother were “buds” and we all attended the same school together for a time. Take comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering, and is at peace now, and with his Dad. Know that he is wathching over you, until the day we are all together again. Take care-

  3. Skip was such a kind and loving soul. He adored his son Stevie and was a good friend to everyone who had the pleasure to know him. My “sister” Patty Winter thought of him as a brother. They had a wonderful friendship for many many years. I remember her introducing him to me at Neighbors many years ago and he treated me as if I were an old friend from that very 1st day. He will be dearly missed.

  4. For the short time that I knew Skip, he was always there to laugh and be merry with me, even when he had the physical problems that challenged him. He was a good friend and as most know, was devoted to his family. My thoughts are with those that feel the emptiness.

  5. Mrs.Pirkey & Stephen, you both we’re blessed with a devoted son and father. We often heard him speak of both of you. He was also a good son to his father who he often visited at his gravesight. Skip was a unique person who was well loved by us and anyone who knew him. Skip, rest in peace. We will miss you.

  6. Skip was the type of person that you meet once in a lifetime. If you needed help with anything, he could always find time for you. He had the biggest heart and will be sorely missed.

  7. I haven’t seen Skip since our days together at O’Connell. The times we shared during those years were frequent, colorful and among my fondest memories. Despite the fact that so many years have passed, I feel the world is a bit dimmer without Skip. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences.

  8. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t remember you. I know you’re in a better place but the world doesn’t seem to be the same without you! We’ll meet again one day! For now RIP my friend! Love you forever!

  9. Skip, God Bless you. You called one day and I thought it was my brother. I was in a hurry to get out the door at the time. After I left it dawned on me who it was on the phone. I went and frantically tried to locate your number. I worked later before you passed in Vienna and tried many times on my lunch break to find your house and leave a note. I did not have the address and only vaguely remembered what it looked like. I am so sorry I didn’t have time to talk. We were such good friends and your mother was oh so charming. Little Stephen was so cute. You are missed. Sorry my life got in the way.
