Bill’s loss is a sad one-a great loss to all who knew him- may the Lord give you and your family the strength to keep you going through this tough time. Gary and I will hold fast our fond memories of Bill and we know he is at peace.
We are keeping you all in our hearts and prayers. Bill was extremely blessed with a wonderful family. Knowing you are going to be supportive of each other in multiple ways and, eventually, heal.
Kay, Karen, Kristi, Jay, Tom, and Grandmom. Our sincere sympathy to each of you as a family. Bill will be missed by all, and the void left in your hearts cannot be filled, but fond memories will ease the pain. You are in the thoughts and prayers of the entire Cave Clan. Love G
Kay, I was so shocked this morning to see in the paper that Bill has passed away. I’ll be thinking of you with love and prayers in your hard days ahead.
From all of us at Irvington, our deepest love and appreciation in this sad time. Our loss becomes Heaven’s gain.
Kay, I am sorry for your great loss. Jeannette and I wish God’s Blessings and peace to you and family members. I feel a strong bond to you Kay as a friend and classmate of the Class of ’59. Although I really didn’t know Bill, except at reunions; I do feel he was a very good man by the lady he loved. Sorry we can’t be there, but our thoughts are with all of you, including classmates. In His Love, Brad and Jeannette Forbes
kay: I was shocked when I read the paper today. I am so sorry for your loss. I just went through the same thing when Kathryn died last month. God bless you and your family. In christian love Bill Brigge
Dear Kay, I am so sorry to hear about Bill. I enjoyed working with him, both at Mount Vernon and later at Gunston Hall. He enjoyed sharing history with visitors at both places very much, and he had so much enthusiasm for the first person program. He will be missed.
Kay I was shocked to hear about the passing of Bill I worked with him at Everly Wheatley FH in Alexandria from 1998 – 2004. I enjoyed working with him. Bryan Trovinger
Kay, so sorry to read about Bill. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God give you comfort at this very difficult time and may His presence be with you in the days ahead. Please get in touch when things settle down and know that I am here for you.
In the few years that I knew Bill from our work here at Gunston Hall, I discovered that he was a true and caring gentleman. Everything he did here at the plantation, he wanted to do right. I will miss you around the bonfire at Plantation Christmas, Bill. You helped light up the night. Be at peace, sir.
So sorry to hear of your loss. My condolences to all the family. May God give you comfort at this time of sorrow. Helen Anderson
Bill will be fondly remembered at Gunston Hall. He had such a positive impact. Visitors loved interacting with him in his colonial dress….especially as George Mason. He will be missed by so many of us. L Dahnert
Dear Kay. It was with great sadness to hear the news of Bill’s passing. We worked with Bill at Gunston Hall and found him to be a wonderful guy.He will be missed by the Gunstonians. Known to Bill as Martin & Ann Cockburn
Dear Kay and Family, I was so looking forward to Bill’s return to Gunston Hall and good health. He will be sorely missed by all the docents. I loved seeing him dressed in his colonial garb. I will never forget the day he gave a few of us advice on how to effectively put on make-up. Every time I do now, I think of him. He gave so much of himself to all.
All of the Gunstonians missed Bill during his illness this year and will miss him even more during Plantation Christmas on Dec. 11. We will raise a glass in his honor. My deepest sympathies to the entire Bray family. Your most obedient, humble, and grieving servant,
Dear Kay and family, We are so very saddened by Bill’s passing. It was such a joy to have been in docent training with him at Gunston Hall and then get to know him through many different activities. He was so generous with his time and knowledge. We loved his wry sense of humor and ready smile. He is sorely missed. Our prayers are with you all. Rosemary Romine
Kay, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Bill was such a joy to know throughout the years and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Pat Drabick
Kay and family, I was very sorry to hear about Bill’s illness and passing. If you remember we went to high school, Bill was a grade above me, his father, baptized me. Bill was the main reason I went to work at Demaine’s years ago. He was a good person and friend. We had quite a few laughs together. I’m saddened that we didn’t keep in touch over the years. You and your family are certainly in my prayers. Take care, Neal Kellum
