Ximena Constanza Facer

Ximena Constanza Facer, affectionately known as Tachi, of McLean, VA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the age of 86. with her children by her side.
Ximena was born to German Orellana and Clara Alicia Orellana in Curico, Chile. She spent her early years in Curico before moving with her family to Santiago, Chile. She attended college and graduated with a degree in Administration. In Santiago, she met and married her first love, Guillermo C. Herrera. They had an amazing and happy life together, traveling around the world for Guillermo's job. Settling first in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where their first child, William O. Herrera, was born. A few years later, they moved to Milwaukee, WI, where they welcomed their second child, Constanza I. Herrera.
Together, Ximena and her family moved to various cities and countries, including New York City, Mexico City, Spain, Santiago, and Williamsport, PA, making unforgettable memories wherever they went. Sadly, Guillermo passed away in 1978 in Williamsport, and Ximena moved back to Santiago to be closer to her family.
In 1988, she returned to the United States to be near her grown children and grandchildren, whom she adored and enjoyed spending time. A few years later, she met her second husband, Capt. Gordon C. Facer. They married in 1994 and lived in McLean, VA. They loved to travel, hike, camp, and explore new cities and states throughout the US. With amazing adventures, they made unforgettable memories and experienced a happy life together. Ximena lost her second love, Gordon, in 2014. Afterwards, she lived with her daughter until she passed away in 2023.
Ximena was blessed with a loving family in the United States, Chile, and France; and had many wonderful and adoring friends. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out and made friends wherever she went. Her infectious smile, the twinkle in her eyes, and her hearty laughter were treasured by all who knew her. She was an elegant and vivacious human being who showered everyone with love and light.
Ximena always embraced life to the fullest, finding joy in every situation. For the past 50 years, she was an avid "yogi" and practiced almost every day. She had a green thumb and loved tending to both her outdoor and indoor plants. Ximena enjoyed reading novels and the newspaper every morning. She also loved playing board games and cards, especially Canasta. She had an adventurous spirit, loved to travel and explore new places. Her most cherished activity was spending quality time with friends and family, making great memories together filled with fun and laughter.
Ximena is survived by her two children, William Herrera (and spouse Deneena Herrera) and Connie Klein (and partner Daniel Boozer), and her four grandchildren, Jason Klein, Kendal Herrera (deceased), Devon Herrera, and Caroline Herrera.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 20, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Money & King Funeral Home, located at 171 West Maple Avenue, Vienna, VA 22180, followed by a Celebration of Life from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Patsy’s American Restaurant located at 8051 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182.

Connie my sincerest condolences to you and your entire family, god give you the strength to overcome this irreparable loss and give you peace in your heart, because you were an excellent daughter, worthy of admiration.you lost your mother but you gained a guardian angel.
